Artemis finds new Pilbara nickel targets - The Pick Online Magazine

Pilbara-focused Artemis Resources has identified new nickel targets over a potential 3.5 kilometre east-west strike at its Zac project near Karratha, Western Australia.

A recently completed Gap Geophysics Sub Audio Magnetics (SAM) survey at the project identified several higher priority Galvanic Source Electromagnetic (GSEM) targets.

Vortex geophysics subsequently completed Fixed Loop Electromagnetics (FLTEM) over three of the primary GSEM targets.

We have now identified nickel targets over a potential 3.5km east-west strike from the new Zac target all the way through to Ruth Well which we are currently drilling.”

This is a very exciting development for the Company and its shareholders and is a potential game changer for the Company and the region, Artemis’ Executive Director and Head of Exploration Ed Mead said.

“The FLTEM results from the three areas surveyed have identified high priority shallow drill targets at all, with one target having very high conductance above 15,000S and a time constant of 380m sec, being consistent with the presence of massive sulphides.

Mr Mead aid the company had identified the potential surface gossan with a handheld XRF and had sampled and sent the gossan to the laboratory for assay.

“The Zac Project area has had very limited exploration in the last 10 years, with the main focus to date being around the Ruth Well deposit,” he said.

“A number of other targets have also been identified by FLTEM between Ruth Well and Zac, and even though they are interpreted as moderate to high conductance, none are of the size and conductance strength being reported today.

“The geology and mineralisation model the company is using to define resources for the Radio Hill processing plant is starting to pay dividends.”

Artemis has submitted Proof of Works for drilling of all conductors. This drilling is a priority based on the high conductance responses from FLTEM.

Downhole electromagnetic (DHTEM) will be used on all drill holes to validate and search for off hole conductors.

Based on drilling success on any of the new targets, Artemis will conduct additional deeper searching FLTEM over the greater project area where GSEM has identified numerous other targets and trends.
