Battery Age Minerals (ASX: BM8) has received approval from the Ontario Ministry of Mines for the drilling permit application for its Phase II drilling programme at the Falcon Lake Lithium Project in Canada.

The receipt of this key statutory approval will allow Battery Age to continue to execute its Phase II drilling program across the entire 5km highly prospective corridor identified to date at Falcon Lake. The permit has an allowance for 135 drill pads. Hole depth will vary from 50m to 200m, giving an approximate range of total drilled metres from 10,000 to 20,000m.

Phase II of drilling at Falcon Lake will aim to expand on the recently discovered shallow mineralised zones – including the significant intercept of 19.1m grading 1.34% Li2O in 23FL-067 at Falcon East – in addition to over 30 new targets identified through the recent summer fieldwork programme.

This permit will pave the way for drilling across a 5km highly prospective corridor where over 30 new drill targets have been identified beyond the known mineralised occurrences. The permit also includes provision for targeted mechanical stripping works to uncover additional pegmatite outcrops,” Interim CEO, Nigel Broomham, said.

“Battery Age is grateful for the support of our First Nations partners and we look forward to continuing to build on these strong relationships.

“This is an exciting time for Battery Age, as the team can now test the multiple high-priority targets generated as a result of our highly successful summer field campaign.”

A 10,000m – 20,000m programme has re-commenced at the recently discovered step-out zone at Falcon East and will then move onto test new pegmatite discoveries within over 30 high-priority targets generated from the results of the summer field work programme.
