Cooper Metals drilling has proven significant copper-gold mineralisation below historical workings at King Solomon prospect, part of the Company’s Mt Isa East Copper-Gold Project in northwestern Queensland.
RC Hole (22MERC048A) was the standout amongst 19 holes for 2,816 metres, returning 14m @ 1.1% Cu and 0.04 g/t Au from 44m, incl: 1m @ 4.6% Cu and 0.23 g/t Au & Incl: 3m @ 2.7% Cu and 0.07g/t.
King Solomon prospects held the mainstay of targets besides four at the Company’s Python and Camp Gossan target sites.
Importantly, the induced polarisation survey completed late last year indicates the mineralisation is likely to extend deeper, especially at the southern end of the prospect where the response is strongest,” Managing Director Ian Warland said.
“Another important development is the significant shallow mineralisation intersected at the northern end of King Solomon 2 which is open at depth and along strike to the south.
“King Solomon continues to grow in size and potential for more growth is very promising.”
