Nexus Minerals Limited (ASX: NXM) has received significant high-grade assay results from the second 20 RC holes drilled at the Templar Prospect at Wallbrook Gold Project in the eastern goldfields of Western Australia.
The results included a highlight intersection of one metre @ 57.10g/t Au.
Managing Director, Andy Tudor, said the Templar Prospect phase 1 drill programme has delineated a mineralised corridor extending over 700m of strike which remains open in all directions.
These latest results from the Templar Prospect have again intersected broad and high-grade gold intercepts and shown continuity of the mineralisation, which now extends over greater than 700m strike and remains open in all directions,” he said.
“These exciting results have outlined a potentially large and extensive mineralised system. Further extensional, depth and infill drilling will be planned to follow up on the results received in this programme.”
Mr Tudor said the mineralisation occurs within a broad shear zone associated with a highly sheared and altered volcaniclastic unit. The high-grade gold grades coincide with intense zones of quartz / limonite / goethite alteration in oxide and quartz veins with intense hematite alteration in fresh rock.
