Sabre Resources Limited (ASX: SBR) has engaged Perth based Pegasus Airborne Systems Pty Ltd to conduct a detailed airborne magnetic survey on Exploration Licence E57/1125, known as the Bonanza Gold Project in Western Australia.

The detailed aeromagnetic survey is planned to be conducted over a priority structural target area of 2km by 3km in the northeast corner of E57/1125, with a line spacing of 20m for a total of 300-line km.

The Youanmi area has gained investor interest following recent exploration success reported by Rox Resources Ltd, Spectrum Metals Ltd and Venus Metals Corp as well as the recent takeover of Spectrum Metals Ltd by Ramelius Resources Ltd.

The northeast corner of E57/1125 is approximately 500m from the tenement boundary of Ramelius Resources Ltd and 800m from the Penny West discovery. Once the aeromagnetic survey is completed and the data is processed, Sabre will delineate the highest priority drill targets and plans to follow this with a drilling programme.

Pegasus will use a PAS-G100 helicopter that will tow a Scintrex CS-VL cesium vapour magnetometer 25m below the aircraft. The data generated will be processed and imaged by Sabre’s geophysical consultant Southern Geoscience Consultants.

Sabre had previously announced that it had engaged a New South Wales based geophysical contractor to undertake the aeromagnetic survey. The contractor commenced the survey in February 2020, however, the survey was not completed as the Western Australia government placed restrictions on interstate travel because of the Covid-19 virus.
