Sipa Resources Limited (ASX: SRI) has unveiled multiple exploration programmes being carried out across the company’s portfolio of Western Australian projects.

Warralong (Sipa 100%)

At Warralong, Sipa is targeting mineralisation associated with intrusive rocks and structures not previously tested by drilling. The Warralong Project covers 50km of the Lalla Rookh Shear Zone and other structures, in an analogous setting to discoveries along the Tabba Tabba Shear Zone 50km to the west.

Sipa recently completed its first reconnaissance aircore drill programme at Warralong. Basement rocks obscured beneath shallow cover were sampled and submitted to the laboratory for analysis. Laboratory turn around times are currently long and results are not expected for several weeks. Drilling encountered a range of basement lithologies representative of several intrusive rock types, with occasional minor pyrite.

Sipa’s second programme has now commenced on tenement E45/5740, using the same methodology. A soil sampling programme across broader areas of the tenement package is also scheduled to commence in mid-October.

Once the current drill and soil sampling programs are completed and all assays have been received a comprehensive basement interpretation across the Warralong project area will be undertaken.

Paterson North Project (Sipa 89% Rio Tinto Exploration Farming In)

At the Paterson North Project, the extensive gradient array induced polarisation (GAIP) geophysical survey has now been completed, with one area requiring additional heritage approvals for completion in subsequent surveys.

Results will now be processed and reviewed with the other geophysical information currently available to prioritise drill targets to be tested in the 2022 field season.

Barbwire Terrace Project (Sipa-Buru Energy 50-50 JV)

The Barbwire Terrace Project is located in the Canning Basin of Western Australia, where Sipa is targeting MVT style lead-zinc deposits in collaboration with its joint venture partner, Buru Energy.

The gravity survey over existing target areas has recently been completed and planned drilling locations have been amended based on this improved data. The necessary heritage surveys will commence shortly ahead of drilling. Future drilling will be supported by a recently received Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS) grant. The EIS is supported by the Western Australian Government.
