Alchemy Resources Limited (ASX: ALY) has completed a successful first pass, project wide regional soil sampling campaign at the 100% owned Karonie Project in Western Australia.

During mid-2022, 1,471 soil samples were taken over four target areas on 400m x 400m offset grid pattern along the prospective “Goldilocks Trend” over a strike length of 60km.

The soil geochemistry has confirmed the presence of several very large targets exhibiting lithium and pathfinder element anomalism. Results show broad, but coherent and coincident Beryllium, Rubidium and Tin anomalism as well as associated lower-level Lithium and Tantalum values over two large new prospect areas at Karonie.

Ground truthing has yet to be carried out to determine the source of these values and will be included in Alchemy’s future exploration planning.

The regional soils program has fulfilled its objective of providing a low cost, first pass geochemical assessment of the extensive strike length of the prospective granite contact zone at Karonie,” CEO, James Wilson, said.

“To obtain such a large footprint of coincident pathfinder anomalism at these areas is an exceptional result. Several very large and promising target areas justify follow-up with further work to better define and characterise the anomalism.

“In the meantime, we await the infill soil sampling at the more advanced Cherry, Hickory and Pecan areas so that we can plan for future drill targets.

“The geochemical review reaffirms the exceptional prospectivity of our large tenement package for LCT mineralisation at Karonie in a region where a number of significant lithium resources have been proven in recent times and which has historically only ever seen gold and base metals exploration.”

Assay results of the samples show broad, but coherent and coincident Beryllium, Rubidium and Tin anomalism as well as associated lower-level Lithium and Tantalum values over two large new prospect areas, which sit in proximity to the larger regional granites as well as adjacent to numerous smaller granite bodies. The new prospects have been designated “Red Oak” and “Alder”. No ground truthing has been conducted at this stage to determine the source of these anomalies.
