NPJV, an un-incorporated joint venture between Njamal Services Pty Ltd and the Pilbara Resource Group Pty Ltd, continues to create opportunities for Pilbara workers and Indigenous family businesses, securing yet another contract at the Pilgangoora lithium- tantalum project in Western Australia.
The highly successful joint venture between Njamal Services Pty Ltd and the Pilbara Resource Group Pty Ltd has won a competitive tender to supply and construct permanent onsite facilities for integrated services contractor, M ACA.
The facilities include workshops, stores, fuel tanks, administration facilities, crib-rooms and meeting rooms located at the open pit minesite located 120km from Port Hedland.
The contract builds on NPJV’s existing relationship with MACA which commenced last year with the supply of civil and labour hire support.
NPJV Managing Director, Scott Dryland, said while MACA had been impressed with NPJV’s professionalism and performance, the company won the latest contract after a rigorous tender process which assessed both pricing and technical capability.
While our track record speaks for itself, we understand the requirements of competitive tendering and the fact that we need to be able to deliver to the highest levels for clients,” he said.
“I believe it’s our continuous training program, commitment to best- practice business management and industry knowhow that is setting us apart from the competition.”
Mr Dryland said up to 12 NPJV employees will be involved in the MACA facilities project, with flow on benefits for NPJV families who have created businesses to specifically meet the needs of mining companies operating in the Pilbara.
“It is really rewarding to see these start-up businesses kicking goals and providing long term opportunities for the Njamal people,” he said.
While NPJV’s rapid growth has emanated from Pilbara-based projects, Mr Dryland said the company has started to receive approaches from companies operating across Western Australia.
“There’s definitely some exciting opportunities ahead and we are looking forward to expanding our operations and our footprint in 2018.”
