Artemis Resources has gained ground today after drilling hit bumper gold, cobalt and copper intervals in latest diamond drill results from Carlow Castle project in the Pilbara.

Carlow Castle currently covers three deposits (Carlow Castle South, Quod Est and Carlow Castle South East) and is approximately 35km from the Radio Hill processing plant.

Artemis gains on further high-grade Carlow Castle hits

Recent drilling at the project intersected mineralisation in a north-south orientation from Quod Est to Carlow Castle South over a distance of 500 metres.

The main strike of mineralisation at Carlow Castle South is east-west with current defined strike distance of this east – west trend being approximately 1.2km.

Current Artemis drilling is infilling this 1.2km east – west strike and seeks to join Quod Est, Carlow Castle South and Carlow Castle South East into one large resource. Drilling will then step out to test further strike extensions.

Best intersections from latest drilling include 22m at 6.10 grams per tonne gold, 0.55% cobalt and 2.35% copper from 133m including 4m at 15.07 per tonne gold, 1.08% cobalt and 4.34% copper from 143m including 6m at 7.89g/t gold, 1.14% cobalt and 1.21% copper from 149m.

Shallow drilling by Artemis continues to define impressive widths and grades of gold, copper and cobalt at Carlow Castle,” Artemis’ Chief Executive Officer Wayne Bramwell said.

Though not fully defined yet, Carlow Castle looks to be a part of a larger mineralised system that is open at depth and along strike. Drilling along strike and at depth could quickly add resource tonnage here.”

The system remains open at depth and along strike with drilling continuing. Carlow Castle lies 35km by gazetted roads from the company’s wholly owned Radio Hill processing plant.

Carlow Castle has a JORC 2012 compliant Indicated and Inferred resource of 2.3 Mt @ 1.3 g/t Au, 0.11% Co, 0.5% Cu and 1.6 g/t Au (within a global resource of 4.5 Mt @ 0.9g/t Au, 0.07% Co, 0.4% Cu and 1.3 g/t Ag – at a 0.05% Co cut-off grade).

Shares in Artemis were trading at 1c higher at 18c in todays trade.
