Artemis Resources Limited (ASX:ARV) has received key approval from the Western Australian Department of Mines Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) for a drilling programme at its 100% owned Armada Project in the Paterson Range area of Western Australia.
The Armada Project is located Artemis’ 600 sq. km permit E45/5276 which surrounds the Greatland Gold Havieron gold/copper discovery on three sides.
The company is planning to drill seven targets identified by its recent gravity and magnetic surveys on the Armada Project.
Artemis is now planning for the completion of a Heritage survey before the drilling programme can kick off.
The company is also awaiting the receipt of reprocessed Seismic data lines with a report looking at structures that may control mineralisation expected in early October.
Artemis Resources Executive Director, Ed Mead said the company is looking forward to testing the promising area in the near future.
“I encourage all shareholders to continually monitor the Havieron drilling results coming out from Newcrest and Greatland Gold, where they report to have 5 drill rigs on site at Havieron,” Mr Mead said,
“Artemis’s Armada Project surrounds Havieron on 3 sides and exploration success at Havieron will provide valuable targeting information for drill planning on our ground.
We have lodged a number of approval requests with the authorities for ground disturbance and drilling and we are pleased to have received our first set of approvals to drill at Armada. We are also completing a full seismic review of our tenements in the Telfer area and this interpretation is due in early October.”
