Artemis Resources (ASX: ARV) has delivered another set of extraordinary results from its Titan prospect in the West Pilbara region of Western Australia. The latest assays have confirmed significant high-grade gold and silver mineralisation, continuing the narrative of Titan as one of the most promising exploration projects in the region.
Extraordinary Assay Results:
The rock chip sampling program has returned spectacular grades, with key highlights including:
- 553,754 g/t gold and 1,305 g/t silver from sample 24AR19-075.
- 223,056 g/t gold and 1,195 g/t silver from sample 24AR19-068.
- 33,389 g/t gold and 233 g/t silver from sample 24AR19-061.
Moreover, previously reported over-limit assays were further quantified, showing a staggering 692,579 g/t gold and 3,000 g/t silver, among others. These numbers reflect the exceptional potential of the Titan prospect to deliver world-class gold grades.
Titan’s Untapped Potential
The Titan prospect, located in the northern section of the Carlow tenement (E47/1797), was relatively unexplored until Artemis began its reconnaissance efforts. The quartz-iron oxide veins identified during the exploration show visible gold, and the latest results suggest the site could host a much larger mineralised system than previously thought.
Executive Director George Ventouras expressed his enthusiasm about the latest developments, saying, "These results, combined with previously reported gold, silver, and copper assays, point to a larger-scale gold system at Carlow. Titan continues to deliver high-grade results with significant potential for further discovery.”
Sampling Program & Results
Artemis collected 97 rock chip samples in the most recent phase, mainly from in-situ quartz-iron oxide veins. The program validated earlier reports of over-limit gold samples, some of which contained such high concentrations of gold that they exceeded the capacity of initial laboratory tests.
The standout assays include:
- 24AR19-075: 553,754 g/t Au and 1,305 g/t Ag
- 24AR19-068: 223,056 g/t Au and 1,195 g/t Ag
- 24AR19-061: 33,389 g/t Au and 233 g/t Ag
These veins—typically narrow, steeply dipping, and containing visible gold—are part of a broader mineralised system that spans more than 63 hectares. The variability in the grades, typical of nuggety gold deposits, adds a layer of complexity but also highlights the significant potential for future high-grade discoveries.
The Bigger Picture
Titan’s mineralisation extends over a large area, approximately 2km by 400m, suggesting that the potential scale of the gold system could be far greater than initially anticipated. Its proximity to the Carlow Castle resource, which is located just 1km to the southeast, further increases its importance. Carlow Castle itself contains an impressive 704,000 ounces of gold equivalent (AuEq), and the possibility of connecting this resource with Titan’s high-grade system is tantalising for Artemis.
Recent structural mapping and sampling have also revealed multiple vein orientations within the Titan prospect, consistent with the broader regional geology. These thrust faults could extend for kilometres, potentially opening up additional opportunities for mineralisation beyond Titan and across the greater Carlow tenement.
Next Steps
Artemis is not slowing down. The company plans to continue its detailed mapping and structural interpretation to better define the extent of the mineralisation at Titan. They are also reprocessing historical geophysical data to gain deeper insights into the subsurface structures that may be driving this high-grade gold system.
With such incredible assay results, the next stage of exploration could be a game-changer for the company. If further sampling and drilling confirm the potential for a large-scale, high-grade gold system, Artemis could be sitting on one of the Pilbara region’s most significant new discoveries.
