Battery Age Minerals (ASX: BM8) has intersected further thick, shallow sections in the newly discovered zone of spodumene mineralisation at Falcon East, part of its 90%-owned Falcon Lake Lithium Project in Ontario, Canada.
Having stepped out from known previous mapped historical occurrences at Falcon Lake, the company has delineated a significant zone of mineralisation at Falcon East with drilling returning new intercepts up to 19.1 metres at 1.34% Li2O in 23FL-067, building on the initial results reported on 5 October 2023 which included 27.45 metres grading 0.83% Li2O from 19.55m down-hole in hole 23FL-059, including 12m @ 1.23% Li2O.
“We are very encouraged to see more strong lab results returned from Falcon East, which represents the first significant zone of spodumene mineralisation to be discovered at Falcon outside of the area of historic exploration.
We have yet to fully test this area due to the short pause in drilling for the hunting season, but we look forward to recommencing work next week and further testing this zone to determine its full extent,” Managing Director, Gerard O’Donovan, said.
“The rig will be back spinning next week, and the team is excited to get back on the ground and further expand the potential of Falcon Lake.”
The new intercepts come from a new zone located immediately east of the Falcon Lake East prospect. This new area was identified as part of the summer fieldwork campaign as being highly prospective and sits outside of the previously mapped historical occurrences.
