High-grade lithium assays up to 1.9 per cent have confirmed a spodumene discovery at the Enterprise Prospect as Charger Metals carry out an expansive combined drill program over its Bynoe Lithium Project in the Northern Territory.
Diamond drilling has already begun and intersected another thick zone of spodumene-bearing pegmatite across 19.25 metres and will soon be joined by two RC drill rigs to begin a 5000-metre campaign to test existing and freshly revealed targets, including the high priority 7-Up Prospect.
Charger Managing Director Aidan Platel said the company looked forward to testing the extents of this mineralisation after recording more thick zones of spodumene pegmatite.
It is great to see the assay results confirm the spodumene discovery at the Enterprise Prospect, approximately 900m along strike from Core Lithium Limited’s Blackbeard Prospect, with significant lithium mineralisation correlating with logged intersections of spodumene bearing pegmatites in the RC drilling,” Mr Platel said.
The first pass over Enterprise intersected spodumene-bearing pegmatite up to 22 metres thick, and it is another encouraging sign for Charger as it continues diamond drilling to test for down-plunge extensions, with Core’s nearby spodumene deposits showing the potential for content to increase at depth.
Assays are now pending for the first hole of the diamond portion of the program, and a suite of results will soon come in as Charger carry out its lithium campaign as predictions are made for a “frightening” impending bull market.
