Nickel-copper-PGE focused explorer Chase Mining Corporation Limited (ASX: CML) has reported massive sulphide intercepts in early holies at a drilling campaign at the Alotta Project in Canada.
The intercepts were made in a new minimum six-hole diamond drill programme targeting extensions to known mineralisation within the Ni-Cu wireframe; as well as testing the interpreted Alotta Deeps position; a shallow DHEM plate; and, the potential WNW extension of the main mineralised zone.
Five metres of massive sulphide was intersected in Hole ZA-19-04 from 49m to 54m comprising 90% pyrrhotite and 10% chalcopyrite, then mineralised gabbro/mafic footwall to 70.5m with the hole ending in feldspar porphyry at 102m.
Ten metres of massive sulphide was intersected in Hole ZA-19-05 from 59.5m to 69.5m comprising 95% pyrrhotite and 5% chalcopyrite, then mineralised gabbro / mafic footwall to 75m with the hole ending in feldspar porphyry at 102m.
Executive chairman and CEO Dr Leon Pretorius said both holes met their objective of extending the massive sulphide mineralisation and testing the extent of the footwall mineralised gabbro.
The rig has been relocated to Hole ZA-19-06 which is targeting the new shallow DHEM plate.
