Estrella Resources Limited (ASX: ESR) reports that it continues to receive encouraging indications from drilling at the Carr Boyd Nickel Project (CBNP), and the Carr Boyd Layered Complex (CBLC) in Western Australia.

The company’s CEO Christopher Daws said that while it is still very early in the drilling of the latest hole, hole NBC0003, sulphide abundance, although highly variable, appears to be increasing with depth.

Map of the Phase I HPEM area, showing the loaction of the new drillholes and historic holes greater than 150m depth.

The company said the geology continues to be very encouraging, supporting its “Voisey Bay” target model.

NBC0003 is being drilled as a parallel to contact hole and is testing a gravity/magnetic high located in the south western area of the CBLC. This is the first time that a hole of this magnitude (depth) has been drilled in this area of the intrusion and will provide further important geological information as we seek to unlock the “source” of massive Ni/Cu sulphides located at the dormant Carr Boyd Nickel Mine.

The CBLC is in a Tier 1 jurisdiction approximately 80km north north-east of Kalgoorlie Western Australia.

A “Voisey Bay” style model has not been adequately explored within the CBLC. This represents a compelling exploration target opportunity which the Company will continue to aggressively pursue.
