Force Commodities (ASX:4CE) is preparing to put boots on the ground at its soon-to-be acquired lead-silver project in Malawi through the appointment of an exploration manager and development of a phase-1 exploration plan.

The upcoming activities will be the first ever modern exploration at the Tshimpala project, located 45km from the Malawian capital Lilongwe.

Highly experienced geologist Mr Trevor Mashiloane has been appointed to lead the exploration, conducting in-country mine geology and broader exploration activities.

Force is on the hunt for the source of numerous pockets of high-grade lead sulphide and will get underway with a series of test pitting, trenching, sampling and detailed geological mapping and modelling across its Grand Canyon, Riverside and Small Canyon prospects.

2,500m of RC drilling is also planned to accompany this exploration.

The Company will be targeting over 25 areas of artisanal mining and locations identified through EM surveys completed last year. Force has further flagged additional EM exploration as part of its Phase-One inspection.

Commenting on the appointment of Mr Mashiloane and the upcoming exploration, Force managing director Mr Jason Brewer said:

“This is a key appointment for Force as we seek to rapidly accelerate our exploration and development activities at the Tshimpala Project and build a strong team in Malawi.

“I’ve spent time with Trevor in South Africa recently, discussing the project and our wider development plans with him. He has spent several weeks already on site, he knows the ground and our local-partners, he has seen the high grade mineralisation and was involved in the trial mining that was completed at the Grand Canyon, Riverside and Small Canyon Prospects in November 2018 and from where a +100t bulk sample of an average 60.48% lead grade and 735g/t silver grade was assayed.

“He’s prepared a very thorough Phase 1 Exploration Plan for the Tshimpala Project, which we will now look to commence and complete over the coming months. I’m excited with the prospect of commencing the planned exploration activities and even more with the proposed drilling of these high-grade prospects.”

Force has completed its legal and technical due diligence process at Tshimpala and is only waiting for the final execution of acquisition documents, which it says are expected shortly.
