Helix Resources Limited (ASX: HLX) has appointed the Dr Kylie Prendergast as a Non-Executive Director.
Dr Prendergast is a well regarded geologist and technical leader with over 25 years’ experience within the international mining and resource sector.
She has worked across a range of different operating jurisdictions, including significant in-country assignments and expatriate roles. This has included substantial business development, project technical and economic evaluation, and commercial management, including direct interaction with a range of stakeholders in global resource capital markets.
Her current roles include Partner at Petram Capital, a private equity principal investor focused on capital appreciation and financing in real asset natural resources and CEO of Kina Copper & Gold.
She is currently an Associate at leading industry consultant Mining Associates where she previously held the role of Managing Director providing a wide range of professional advisory and consultancy services to both public and private clients in the mineral industry, extending across a global suite of projects ranging from greenfields exploration through to producing operations.
Dr Prendergast has also held senior leadership roles with Felix Gold Limited (Managing Director), Mawarid Mining (Oman) (GM, Exploration and Business Development), Batu Mining (Mongolia) (Senior Geologist) and Gold Fields St Ives (Project Generation Geochemist).
Prior to that, she worked in technical geology positions with BHP Billiton, Ivanhoe Mines (Mongolia) and North Limited. She holds a PhD in Economic Geology and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance.
