The resurgence in the mining industry will firmly be on show when the leading lights of the industry gather for one of Australia’s premiere resource industry gatherings – Mining 2017 in Brisbane later this month.

Now incorporating the Australian Copper Conference, the Mining Resources Convention has been labelled leading mining conference organiser Vertical Events’ premier flagship show.

The organisers are expecting a capacity turnout for the two-day event which will be staged at the Hilton Brisbane on Tuesday August 29 and Wednesday August 30 August.

And with the event deadline fast approaching, Vertical Events have warned that the opportunity for investors to obtain a LIMITED investor passes is rapidly closing.

With a major surge in investment returning to the mining sector, which is significantly outperforming the all ordinaries on the ASX this year, with all indications that this positive mood will continue into the future.

What the hot commodities and companies to follow will a be major topics of discussion at Mining 2017, with high profile representatives from industry, government and the marketplace all participating in what will be the number one talk-fest on mining this year.

Vertical Events Managing Director Stewart McDonald says the interest in Mining 2017 is as strong as at any time in the event’s long and proud history.

“We have pulled together a really high class programme of presenters from all sectors of the mining industry and the mood leading up to this year’s event is electrifying,” Mr McDonald said.

Mining 2017 also includes an exhibition where attendees may have the opportunity to catch-up with key influencers and some great networking opportunities, including the ever popular Convention Cocktail Party, which will be staged in the Exhibition Area at the conclusion of day one.

Some of the early highlights from a packed programme include an overview of the improved investor sentiment, provided by Queensland Government Resources Investment Commissioner, Todd Harrington.

That presentation will be strongly backed up by a fund perspective on investing in junior resources companies given by Lanstead Fund director, Andrew Sparke.

Those discussions will be followed by an in-depth at some new geological work undertaken by Geoscience Australia.

One of the highlights of day one will be the opportunity to hear from the colourful former Federal Resources Minister, Ian Macfarlane, in his new role as Chief Executive of the Queensland Resources Council (QRC).

With Lithium a one of the commodities leading the minerals resurgence there will be a great deal of interest in presentations from Adrian Griffin of the high-flying Lithium Australia and Ian Scrimgeour, Executive Director of the NT Geological Survey.

Other presentations certain to provide cricital information for mining sector followers will be State updates from the South Australian and Tasmanian Governments and an in-depth look at the copper market from Patrick Maher – Manager – Eastern Australia and Pac-Rim for CSA Global.
