West African gold explorer and developer Tietto Minerals Limited (ASX: TIE) has intersected further high‐grade gold mineralisation in step‐out diamond drilling at the Abujar‐Gludehi deposit (AG), part of Tietto’s 2.2Moz Abujar Gold Project, Côte d’Ivoire.

Managing Director, Dr Caigen Wang, said the additional high‐grade gold results from diamond drilling, demonstrate the continued growth of the Abujar‐Gludehi (AG) gold mineralised system.

AG continues to expand, and I am very pleased to report that the latest batch of assays from our ongoing drill programme has again reported high‐grade gold mineralisation in multiple stacked lodes,” Dr Wang said.

“One of the new high graded intercepts is located around 100m down dip from the last resource outline.

“These results will add more ounces to the high‐grade core of the AG resource (19.3Mt @ 2.2g/t Au for 1.38Moz) in the upcoming resource update in Q3 2020.

“Tietto’s ongoing diamond drilling programme at AG is testing the extension of the high‐grade core (19.3Mt @ 2.2 g/t Au for 1.38Moz). The company has drilled seven diamond holes (2,541m) so far, with results received for five holes, with two holes pending.

Dr Wang said high‐grade gold mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth.

Tietto is drilling more depth extension holes along strike and planning further step back drilling to test the limits.

Dr Wang said Tietto’s fully funded 50,000 metre drill programme continues with the goal of increasing the resource inventory of existing deposits as well as identifying new prospects within the Abujar Project’s 70km long gold corridor, of which 90% of the strike length remains to be tested.

“Tietto continues to benefit from operating with some of the lowest exploration costs in the gold sector and will soon have five Company‐owned rigs driving this cost efficiency. This will ensure a steady flow of drill results which will be incorporated into an Abujar resource update scheduled for Q3 2020, building on the existing 2.2Moz gold resource.

“Looking forward, the Company expects to report more drilling results in coming weeks in new prospects along strike extension of the AG deposit and the APG deposit,” Dr Wang said.
