Terrain Minerals Limited (ASX: TMX) has commenced drilling a maiden 1,000m RC drill programme at its Smokebush Gold Project near the historic Payne’s Find area of Western Australia.
The programme may be enlarged subject to Terrain Geologist’s ground interpretation and observations over the main target areas, with Terrain eligible to earn up to 80% via expenditure.
The two prime targets initially are T13 and Monza where drilling will follow up on historic exploration.
Other key areas which also requiring additional work on historic drilling include T16 & T16W. As well as the Wildflower target which recorded 15m @ 1.4g/t Gold from 10m.
These targets are currently considered to be less advanced and require further ground-based activities.
Executive Director, Justin Virgin, said Terrain considers Smokebush to be a high-quality gold exploration tenement package, with sparse historic drilling which requires follow up exploration activities to further test significant results.
