Voltaic Strategic Resources has maiden drilling imminent on three untested high-priority lithium targets, with 3500 metres of RC drilling ready to spin at its Ti Tree Lithium Project in the Western Australian Gascoyne.

The Morpheus, Akira, and Lewis prospects are all at areas of high-tenor surface geological anomalism, with the former two interpreted to reside in the ‘Goldilocks Zone’ of the same highly prospective schists host to numerous significant intercepts.

The prospects are just three of 18 priority areas hosting over three hundred mapped pegmatites, and Voltaic Chief Executive Michael Walshe said it was rapidly progressing towards the next round of drilling with greater insight.

We are systematically advancing through our exploration program at Ti Tree and are pleased to advise that the ‘Phase 3’ program will commence ahead of schedule, starting later this week. Our field crew are currently on site preparing for the upcoming activities,” Mr Walshe said.

“The new RC rig has the capacity to drill deeper than previous campaigns allowing us to thoroughly examine the extents of the pegmatite swarms at each prospect,” he added.

“Furthermore, we have additional deeper holes planned at Andrada to delineate bounding lithological contacts and to examine untested lithium-caesium-tantalum potential plunge target areas. Moreover, airborne drone magnetic/radiometric and photogrammetry surveys will commence in October which will assist with further target generation.”

Forward plan

Several more outcropping pegmatites have beckoned further exploration, and Voltaic will continue its geological reconnaissance, with mapping, rock chip sampling and soil surveys underway.

Voltaic stands well-funded after securing $4.1 million in investor backing to accelerate work at both Ti Tree and its Paddy’s Well Rare Earth project, where initial metallurgy has revealed rare earth-enriched clays that can be efficiently processed upstream.

Both projects sit in a Gascoyne Province making its case as Western Australia’s hottest critical minerals jurisdiction and Voltaic have a busy year of drilling ahead, with the Trinity and Lithos prospects next off a long rack of priority Ti Tree targets.
