WestStar Industrial’s (ASX: WSI) business SIMPEC has been awarded A$4 million contract at Rio Tinto’s West Angelas mine site with investors welcoming the news.
The stock has shot 0.4c, or 30%, higher to 1.7c in morning trade after being awarded a contract by Atco Structures and Logistics for SIMPEC to supply and install the electrical and communications systems for a 600-room construction camp at the West Angelas mine site.
The $4 million contract award work commences early CY2019 with the camp to be delivered over 3- 4 months.

With this award, the WestStar group has built order book of ~$17 million. For the past year, SIMPEC has tendered for more than $150 million of work and will continue to tender for projects throughout Australia.
