WestStar Industrial continues to secure work with tier 1 companies with its engineering and mining services contractor subsidiary SIMPEC awarded a second order with BHP Billiton Iron Ore.
The contract covers work at its South Flank Iron Ore Mine, 130km northwest of Newman in Western Australia.
Under the scope of the current order, SIMPEC will provide expert engineering services directly to BHP in relation to efficiently completing the Ore Handling Plant area.
This order follows on from SIMPEC conducting a Constructability and Estimate Review Desktop Study for BHP on this project. The total value of orders from BHP to date are ~$450k.
Today’s news comes after the contract scope extension SIMPEC received last week from MSP Engineering at the Talison Lithium Mine in Greenbushes, Western Australia.
Shares in WestStar were last trading at 1.6c.
