After maiden assays from Tabba Tabba confirmed high-grade lithium mineralisation at surface for Wildcat Resources, a second batch of results has come home with top end strikes up to 52m at 1.3% Li2O from its fast-emerging Pilbara asset.
The results continue to define a very large, mineralised pegmatite at Leia in the project’s Central Area and a significant lithium deposit at The Hutt pegmatite to the north, and adjacent parallel bodies at Chewy and Boba further add to rising scale potential.
Wildcat Managing Director Samuel Ekins said the second batch had reinforced the company’s belief that it was onto a terrific lithium discovery.
“The system is showing it has significant scale, we are seeing impressive intersections at multiple locations and the central pegmatite cluster seems to be getting better with depth. We are very excited about the potential and look forward to more results as we continue to aggressively explore the Project,” Mr Ekins said.
Another 68 holes are due for assay, with the majority from a Leia Pegmatite sitting at over 1.5 kilometres of strike with true widths over 130 metres which remains open along strike and depth.
Diamond drilling has begun at Leia to target dip and plunge extensions of the thickest zones and provide the means for metallurgy.
Over 23,600 RC metres have been drilled into Tabba Tabba so far, and Wildcat has expanded its site facilities to support continued three-rig exploration.
The aggressive drilling campaign will continue to spin as Wildcat continues to develop its geological model and progresses early-stage studies for evaluation and permitting.
