Artemis Resources’ Carlow Castle cobalt, gold and copper project in the Pilbara is showing its potential with bumper cobalt grades reported from shallow drilling.
The results are from a major drilling campaign underway at Carlow Castle – designed to significantly increase the current JORC 2012 resource.
RC and diamond drill intersections include 6.5 metres at 23.44 grams per tonne gold, 2.32% cobalt and 10.35% copper from 47 metres.
These latest shallow cobalt, gold and copper assays from Carlow Castle are outstanding by any measure,” said Artemis Chief Executive Officer Wayne Bramwell.
“The mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth and as such the drilling programme will be expanded to further test this growing resource.”
Carlow Castle has a current JORC 2012 compliant Indicated and Inferred resource of 2.3 Mt @ 1.3 g/t gold, 0.11% cobalt, 0.5% copper and 1.6 g/t silver (within a global resource of 4.5 Mt @ 0.9g/t gold, 0.07% cobalt, 0.4% copper and 1.3 g/t silver – at a 0.05% cobalt cut-off grade).
The current drill programme is targeted at infill drilling to increase resource definition and has continued to generate excellent gold, copper and cobalt assay results.
Diamond drilling has provided samples for geotechnical and metallurgical test work.
Carlow Castle lies around 35km by gazetted roads from the company’s wholly owned Radio Hill processing plant.
