Interest continues to build in the RIU Good Oil Conference, the nation’s top destination for junior ASX-listed energy companies, as pressure mounts on the East Coast energy market and junior explorers find themselves in the box seat to enter the marketplace.
With a line-up of industry heavyweights, RIU Good Oil which will be held 11-12th September at the Hyatt Regency Perth, is set to offer one of its most action-packed events to date.
Cooper Energy (ASX: COE) managing director David Maxwell is set to deliver a much anticipated presentation, with the company striking a balance between its suite of producing assets and prospective exploration in the Otway Basin.
Westpac director of economics Justin Smirk is also set to join the conference, delivering his analysis on the effects of OPEC, US fracking and China on current oil prices.
The RIU Good Oil conference will also deliver a host of some of the most prospective junior oilers, featuring presentations from Perth basin players Warrego Energy (ASX:WGO) and Strike Energy (ASX:STX), Thai oilfields explorer Tap Oil (ASX: TAP), as well as market darling Carnarvon Petroleum (ASX:CVN).
“With only a week until the RIU Good Oil Conference and a series of top-quality companies in attendance, we’re hoping for our best energy event yet,” Vertical Events managing director Stewart McDonald said.
“This really is the premiere event for the industry and allows investors to move beyond screening financial metrics and really get to know the management that are looking to hit the next major energy field.
“RIU Good Oil is also the home of the John Doran Award which recognises a lifetime of achievement in the energy field, and I know that this year’s field of potential winners is as tight as I have ever seen,” he added.
