Under the contract NPJV will provide mobile plant and dump truck operators for the Mt Webber Project.

BGC Contracting is delivering development work and contract mining for Atlas Iron at the Mt Webber minesite, located near Marble Bar in the Pilbara.

NPJV has previously worked at the Mt Webber minesite providing both construction and mining services and building a satellite crib and ameneties facility.

NPJV Managing Director, Scott Dryland, said the company’s previous work for Atlas Iron had given BGC Contracting the opportunity to see first-hand the quality and professionalism of their workforce and the outcomes they can deliver.

“This contract win is not only great news for the business but an exciting outcome for the Njamal people because of the additional jobs which will be created.

“The demand for qualified labour through this contract is likely to create additional employment opportunities for non-Indigenous workers as well,” he said.

The number of positions that this contract will generate is between 10-20 full time positions, with the majority being indigenous and a large focus on the Native Title Group Njamal.

Mr Dryland said as an affiliate Registered Training Organisation (RTO) NPJV was continually upskilling and qualifying personnel who are not only work- ready but focussed on achieving the high safety standards leading mining companies and contractors demand.

“Our business model of combining high level mining and contracting experience delivered within state-of-the-art technology and management systems continues to give us a real point of difference in the market,” he said.
