Sabre Resources Limited’s (ASX:SBR) detailed airborne magnetic survey on Exploration License E57/1125 containing the Bonanza Gold Project in WA has been successfully completed.
Conducted by Perth based Pegasus Airborne Systems Pty Ltd the aeromagnetic survey was conducted over a priority structural target area of 2km by 3km in the northeast corner of E57/1125, with a line spacing of 20m for a total of 300-line km.
The northeast corner of E57/1125 is approximately 500m from the tenement boundary of Ramelius Resources and 800m from the Penny West discovery.
Sabre told shareholders that the initial images of the close-spaced (20m) unprocessed aeromagnetic data show the survey results are highly encouraging. The survey has successfully delineated lithological and structural information that may have a control on gold mineralisation.
Pegasus will conduct initial processing of the raw aeromagnetic data before its release to Sabre with results expected within a week.
Sabre has engaged leading geophysical consultants Southern Geoscience Consultants (SGC) to conduct more detailed processing and imaging of the data in order to generate an interpretation that will be used to select targets for drilling.
The company will use the data to identify the highest priority drilling targets and will then immediately take steps to commence planning for a drilling programme.
