Sabre Resources Limited (ASX:SBR) has commenced the detailed airborne magnetic survey on Exploration Licence E57/1125 (Bonanza Gold Project) near the Penny West Gold Mine in Western Australia.
Being acquired by Perth based Pegasus Airborne Systems Pty Ltd, the survey is being conducted over a priority structural target area of 2km by 3km in the northeast corner of E57/1125, with a line spacing of 20m for a total of 300-line kilometres.
The northeast corner of E57/1125 is approximately 500m from the tenement boundary of Ramelius Resources Ltd and 800m from the Penny West discovery.
Once the aeromagnetic survey is completed and the data is fully processed, Sabre will delineate the highest priority drill targets and plans to immediately follow this with a drilling programme.
Pegasus is using a PAS-G100 helicopter towing a Scintrex CS-VL cesium vapour magnetometer 25m below the aircraft.
The data generated will be processed and imaged by Sabre’s geophysical consultant Southern Geoscience Consultants.
The company says the limited data generated to date is most encouraging.
