WestStar Industrial’s order book continues to grow with its engineering contractor business SIMPEC awarded $1.8 million in additional works at the Talison Lithium Mine in Greenbushes, Western Australia.
The scope extensions and purchase orders from MSP Engineering will see SIMPEC supply and install site wide concrete footings (including earth works), the final tails pump and piping system and chute fabrication works for the Chemical Grade Plant 2 Project. The scope changes commence imminently.
MSP Engineering is the Head contractor for the design and construction of the CGP2 Project, which will more than double the capacity of the Talison Lithium Mine to 1.34Mtpa lithium concentrate.
The CGP2 Project is due for commissioning in the second quarter of 2019.
The SIMPEC site team is delivering industry excellence, with safety at the forefront of every task. We are pleased to have gained extra work on this high-profile project, that is helping to underpin expansion of the lithium processing industry in Western Australia,” SIMPEC Managing Director Mark Dimasi noted.
SIMPEC’s order book continues to grow with $7.8 million added from recent awards while WestStar Group’s order book stands at ~$9 million, three months into FY19.
Shares in WestStar were trading at 1.7c on Thursday.
